TV3 MARKS SILVER JUBILEE WITH LIVE CAKE-CUTTING CEREMONY

TV3, the premier brand of the media general group, celebrated its silver jubilee and 25 years of Media Leadership and Excellence with a live cake-cutting ceremony on the morning of September 30, 2022.

TV3 which started operations on October 1, 1997, has led the market in innovative programming and News.

The Board Chair, Hon. Kojo Yankah, Board member Madam Norkor Duah, GCEO Madam Beatrice Agyemang, General Managers, staff, and other dignitaries including the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana. Reverend Dr. Steven Wengam, Mr. Kwabena Agyeman, Executive Director CIMG, and Francis Dadzie, Executive Director AAG, all graced the occasion with their presence.

Madam Norkor Duah, a board member stated that one of the key things to take out of the celebration was that the consumer is always king. “You cannot charter any business without understanding what the consumer wants. TV3 has held the Ghanaian viewer over the past 25years of its existence with content that has changed lives” and urged TV3 to put Ghana first.

Madam Beatrice Agyemang the GCEO of Media general shared her anniversary message through a video clip.  She shared the journey of TV3 and said the station does not only seek to make gains from the business but to also give back to society by creating enabling platforms for the needy and marginalized in society.

“Over the years TV3 has projected issues begging the society for attention and held duty bearers accountable by giving voice to the voiceless and embarking on projects that have brought lots of relieve and transformation to the society, particularly children and girls,” she said

The General Manager for 3Group Mr. Francis Doku thanked the audience, Advertisers & sponsors, and shareholders & stakeholders for their trust and support to TV3. He assured the audience, business partners and shareholders, and all stakeholders that TV3 will continue to be the station that leads in content to give Ghanaians, Africans, and the diaspora the best on the channel.

Management also appreciated twelve staff members who had served the company for 25 years with a gift of a two-bedroom house and a citation in recognition of their 25 years of hard work, loyalty, and dedication to the Channel. Employees who exhibited outstanding performance in 2021 were also awarded certificates and prizes. The anniversary cake was cut by the executives of the company and the long-serving staff. The celebration was filled with smiles and laughter as staff felt appreciated for all the work they had put in over the years and were proud of what TV3 had attained.
