James Korbla AgbelevorChief Finance Officer
Mr. James Korbla Agblevor is a professional member of Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG), Institute of Chartered Economists of Ghana, International Academy of Business and Financial Management and Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana.
He also holds an Executive MBA from the University of Ghana Business School, Ghana Security Industry (Ghana Stock Exchange) Certification, Oil and Gas Financial Management certification from University of Texas at Dallas-United States and a B.Sc Administration – Accounting from the University of Ghana Business School
Before joining Media General in August, 2022, he worked as a Finance Manager at Wayoe Engineering and Construction Company a multinational Company with Operations in South Africa, Sierra Leone, Eritrea, Guinea, Cote d’Ivoire and other Africa countries providing services for key clients including Newmont, Modec, Tullow, Ghana Gas, AngloGold Ashanti and Goldfields Mining Company.
He worked with the West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCo) offering financial services to the company as a Financial Controls Specialist and rising to become the Deputy Finance Controls Manager over his thirteen year service with the company.
Mr. Agblevor has a wealth of hands on experience and expertise in all aspects of accounting and finance as well as skills in Corporate strategy, Health, Safety, Environment and quality control and Project Management among others
