Winfred Kingsley Afful was appointed General Manager (GM) for Shared Services and Operations on the 1 st of November 2018. He rejoins Media General Group from GOtv Ghana Ltd- MultiChoice where he was the General Manager for the GOtv business.
Prior to that, he was the Chief Operations Officer for TV3 Network Ltd. Winfred is an astute business leader with over 20 years experience across multiple industries and senior positions in multinational organizations including as Business Development Director in charge of West Africa for Renewable Energy Corporation (REC) systems, Germany GmbH, Divisional Manager for CFAO Ghana, Marketing Manager for PZ Cussons, He also held other positions at Toyota Ghana, Forewin Ghana and Origin8 Saatchi & Saatchi.
Winfred is a proven performer with a depth of industry knowledge and experience. He has consistently led teams to deliver breakthrough performance.
He holds a double Master’s Degree, Executive Masters in Business Administration from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and Masters in Development Finance from the Business School, University of Ghana Legon. He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Education, Winneba and certificates in multiple disciplines including Marketing, Project Management and Corporate Governance.
Winfred is well travelled and multi-lingual. He speaks very fluent Spanish, Portuguese and 6 Ghanaian languages.
He is known for his positive attitude towards all aspects of life. He is a team unifier who creates an enabling work environment and drive for all who work with him.
