

Pearl Esua-Mensah is the Group CEO of Media General with overall responsibility for strategy and operations of Ghana’s leading media and communications conglomerate.
She is an astute business leader and dynamic professional with over 20 years’ global experience in Banking and Finance at senior management level. Until her appointment, she was the CEO of Feniks Ltd, a fast growing business consulting firm she founded to support medium sized and small businesses realize their growth ambitions.
Prior to Feniks Ltd, she was the Deputy Managing Director of UT Bank, a position she held until exiting the bank in 2015 after playing a pivotal role growing UT Financial Services (UTFSL) into one of the country’s fastest growing full-fledged universal banks. She is reputed for her ability to turn around businesses for growth.
Her experience, both in the financial services sector and as a consultant, has seen her lead strategic initiatives to transform businesses, drive profitability and deliver remarkable value for shareholders.
Her dedication and commitment to shaping businesses has seen her win several awards including being adjudged the Finance Personality of the Year at the National Women in Finance Awards in 2014.
She is a Founding and Executive Council member of the Executive Women Network and the Board Chairperson of Ashesi University. She serves on other boards including Galaxy Capital, Global Media Alliance, UMB foundation and Txt Group Ghana.
Pearl is a certified professional accountant, an ACCA fellow (FCCA), with an MBA in Finance from Manchester Business School (UK) and a Bsc in Business Administration from University of Ghana Legon.
She is married with two children.
