TV3 Network Ltd
TV3 Network Ltd (TV3) is Ghana’s leading free-to-air private television station with nationwide coverage and a member of Media General Ltd – Ghana’s leading media organisation.
Established in 1996 as a joint venture between the Government of Ghana, Gama Media Systems, Gama Film Company and Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad, TV3 began on-air transmission on October 1, 1997 from Adesa We, Kanda, producing and airing a variety of television programmes.
By the end of 2006, ten years into its operations, TV3 had achieved 65% of nationwide penetration and established itself as the most watched private free-to-air television station in Ghana. Shortly after, coverage was extended nationwide and Ghana’s favourite TV station found its way into the homes of millions of Ghanaians across the country.
In September 2011, TV3 was acquired by Media General Ghana Limited and now as part of a bigger family, TV3’s role in shaping the media and entertainment landscape in Ghana and across Africa is even more crucial.
Twenty years into its operations, TV3 continues to lead the industry, producing the most distinctive and compelling content including news, drama, reality, sports, entertainment and lifestyle programmes. In December 2017, TV3 introduced Ghana’s biggest and boldest drama series, Sadia, to provide Ghanaians with an authentic local alternative to foreign telenovelas – leading the industry in the promotion of local content.
With its tagline, ‘First in News, Best in Entertainment’, TV3 has incomparably established itself as the most watched free-to-air television station in Ghana delivering unmatched value for clients, viewers and partners.
